Discussion and Action:

Membership:

Greta Butler, owner of Glasswing Silversmith, was interviewed by Neil Arthur and Karole Campbell. Both felt that her business did not meet the requirements for joining at this time. An official vote was not taken but recorded by email with the desire to revisit her application in one year to see where she is with her business. All members agreed with one abstain due to not being present at last month’s meeting.

Terry Bradley of Mile High Cyber was interviewed by Rick Ward and John Autry. After discussion was voted in for membership with a motion made by Karole Campbell which was seconded by Neil Arthur. All voting members concurred.

Website:

Quote to create a website that has more of the old features was received from Matt Palis. Steve Dufaud confirmed availability of funds for the project with some other financial adjustments being required. Rob Amerine to speak to Matt Palis to obtain a written scope of work with his projected completion date. Matt has offered to make the changes requested in lieu of paying dues for 18 months. Rob to ascertain if that is a good plan and report back to the board after he speaks to Matt.

It was presented that we hold a members-only meeting to inform them of pending changes and other business. It was decided that we will do this the first meeting in September 2023.

Our next meeting will be September 19, 2023.

Guests: Shelly Shepard brought Dylan Davis of AmeriDri to breakfast this morning. He is interested in joining the group.

We will be having a member’s only meeting September 12th, stay tuned for more details. Please do not bring a guest that day.

After you do your craft talk, the following week you’ll introduce the next speaker, and the week after that you’ll greet the members of the group. It is wonderful to have a phone conversation to get the details for the introduction but even better if you can meet face to face. Our group is about deepening these relationships that make us all better Prospectors.

Terry Bradley of Mile High Cyber submitted his application and will be interviewed by Rich Ward and John Autry.

Tony Adair attended as a guest of Rylan Blair. Tony works at Comcast Business as a Senior Business Account Executive and interested in joining the group. His stated business category would be internet and cell phone sales. The board does not feel that this would be a conflict with any other business in the group but requests a conversation be held with Rick Murphy. Karen Heun to call Rick Murphy.

Quote to create a website that has more of the old features was received from Matt Palis. Steve Dufaud confirmed availability of funds for the project with some other adjustments being made to the funding for the Christmas party.

Rob Amerine is going to write a list of the features wanted in the new site to be reviewed by Karen Heun. Once the functionality requirements are determined, we will present the needs to make sure the quoted price is accurate.

Shelly introduced us to Dallas (Husband and Co-Founder), Austin Shepard (son), Kari Stutsman (neurofeedback specialist.) Kelly Calabrese brought Jenna Black from Self Center Acupncture. Karole Campbell brought Tammy Parsons. Tammy currently works at the YMCA -Banning Lewis Ranch but is looking for other opportunities. Rylan Blair brought his son Alex.

Board elections were held today. Rick Ward, Heather Smith, and Chris Waldron will serve on the Board of Directors July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024. We extend our thanks to Bud Bandfield, Brian Bennett, and Greg Jones for their service this past year.

Greta Butler, owner of Glasswing Silversmith, has applied to join Prospectors. She will be interviewed by Neil Arthur and Karole Campbell.

Jeff Prince “JP” of DMI Collision has resigned his membership. He is closing his business.

Len Martin has an engraver who may be interested in joining the group. There is a potential conflict with the services offered by Advanced Impressions. Karen to verify and let the board know ASAP.

Dr. Railey’s baby is due the week of July 4th. She has requested a leave of absence July 11th – August 15th. Bob Goss made a motion to approve the leave, which was seconded by Karole Campbell. All voting members approved.

Total Office is potentially interested in joining the group. Lisa Carroll, Account Manager, will be contacted by Bob Goss. There may be a conflict with other current members in the group that will be addressed before she applies.

Old Business:

Updating the Tri-Fold, due to frequent member changes it was decided not to pursue doing another card at this time.

We had a member from the BBB attend last week but he has not applied to joint the group at this time.

Other business:

Board elections will be held the first meeting of July. Nominations will be accepted over the next two weeks.

Website:

The website continues to be a work in progress with most of the bugs worked out. Rob Amerine has identified a few others that he will reach out to Matt Palis to get addressed.
