SSA, Xaioxaio Corbell, has dropped their membership from the group due to time constraints that prevent them from attending. If you know another CPA firm that would be interested in joining the group, please invite them to breakfast so we can meet them!

Tom announced this morning that Eloise Hastings has to withdraw their membership. Eloise’s husband is facing some pretty serious health complications from his recent knee surgery and is anticipating a year for his recovery, which puts Eloise in the helm managing their business. They are interested in joining the group again once past this situation. We send our heartfelt wishes for a speedy recovery.

Perkins	Grant Thornton Advisors is acquiring CBIZ, Inc. It is reported to be a $5 billion all cash deal. The acquisition represents the largest transaction in the accounting and professional services sector in over 25 years. They plan to conclude the deal in the 4th quarter of 2026. They will handle core accounting, tax, and advisory divisions while the CBIZ Benefits and Insurance Services segment will be spun off to an independent, standalone company backed by New Mountain Capital.
Taylor	Fountain Fire Station #4 is currently underway in Fountain. The city has officially selected a site at the intersection of Link Road and Watchman Road. The city is currently seeking final bids from GCs to construct the ground-up, multi-million-dollar facility.

Discussion and Action:

Membership: Gene Gustafson of Prestige Photography by Gene, was interviewed by the board for the Photographer position in the group. Following discussion, a motion was made by Shelly Shepard to approve him as a new member, her motion was seconded by Ty Taylor. All voting members present approved, none opposed. Karen to notify Andrew DeJoy who will notify Gene.

Attendance: Tom Perkins to reach out to XaioXaio Corbell regarding her attendance in the group.

Financials: Steve will be contacting members who are currently behind on their dues. No assistance from the board is required at this time.

Our next meeting will be on October 20, 2026.
