Discussion and Action:

Membership:

The meeting was held today to review the interview with Dylan Davis of AmeriDri Restoration. Gentry Copelin and Heather Smith both feel that he will be a great addition to the group. After discussion, a motion was made by Jessica Duru to approve his membership in the absence of conflicting services with another member in the group. The motion was seconded by Heather Smith and all voting members present approved.

The absence of conflict was verified, and Dylan Davis is now a member. Heather Smith to reach out to him and his sponsor to share the news.

Addendum:

Matthew Palis of Infront Webworks has requested a leave of absence to attend to some personal family needs. An email was sent out on 01/23/2024 to the board and every member voted to approve this. He is expected to return in March. Karen Heun to check in with him to see how things are going at the end of February.

Our next meeting will be February 20, 2024.

Membership:

Our membership chair will be Chris Waldron. All applications from the website without a sponsor will be directed to him.

Roger Siverson will be updated on the website to be the representative for KRDO radio.

A new application for Dylan Davis of AmeriDri Restoration has been received. He will be interviewed this week by Gentry Copelin and Heather Smith.

The board would like to interview candidates for membership at the monthly board meetings going forward. That way all board members would be able to ask questions and reiterate expectations of the group.

Old Business in Membership: It was thought that Caroline Fleming would apply to be the primary member for Weathercraft Roofing, however John will continue as primary member at this time.

Website work is complete.

The meeting schedule for the board will remain as the 3rd Tuesday of the Month.

Our next meeting will be February 20, 2024.

Kelly Calabrese announced that today would be her last day with the Prospectors Association. Kelly will continue to operate her business, Optimal Wellness Solutions and we wish her all the best in her future endeavors, she will be missed.

Roger Siverson will be our new representative at KRDO. His information is now in our Member Directory.

Dylan Davis of AmeriDri Restoration has a pending interview this week to be considered for membership.

Just a friendly reminder that our “Think Leads” and “Thank You’s” sheets should be filled out with complete information. Since have numerous members that share the same first it becomes confusing as to who you mean and without a business name or last name to help, I can’t note it.

Membership:

The BBB has not had a representative in the group for many meetings. They would like to remain in the group, seeing the value of membership, however they are in violation of our bylaws for required attendance. The board feels that they are a valuable member and would like to retain them if they are willing to attend. Neil Arthur is meeting with the leadership at the BBB today and will talk to Jonathan Liebert personally to see what they want to do going forward.

Our membership chair will be Chris Waldron. All applications from the website without a sponsor will be directed to him.

Old Business in Membership: Caroline Fleming would like to be the primary member for Prospectors. Ty to follow up with John Fleming and request that Caroline submit her application if that is the path they would like to take. Ty was not able to meet with John but has an upcoming meeting with him this week and will update the board as soon as he can.

Attendance:

Everyone seems to be doing well. John Autry reiterated that the board should follow up with those members not in regular attendance before it becomes a violation with the bylaws. A list will be given out with assigned board member to contact those getting close to a violation at our monthly board meetings.

Financials:

Outstanding dues for Cesar Quinones. Steve spoke to Cesar who said he would be paying the outstanding dues which hasn’t happened to date. John Autry made a motion to strike his balance due from the financials, Randy Geving seconded the motion and all voting members approved.

Max Weiss paid his outstanding balance.

The Christmas Party went well and stayed in budget. It was recommended that we order more shrimp next year!

Website:

Website work is ongoing with the launch happening today. Karen to review it with Matt Palis and inform the board once it is done. The board requested that the “Member of the Week,” be changed to “Highlighted Member.”

We are still missing member portraits for the website. Karen sent an email to all those who need to add their picture and let them know that Chris Waldron has offered to take a free photo for the website. Some members are expressing difficulty adding their picture or logging in, those expressing difficulty will be helped once the updates to the website are complete.

The meeting schedule for the board will remain as the 3rd Tuesday of the Month.

Our next meeting will be January 16, 2024.

Guests: Josh Davis was brought to breakfast this morning by Bud Bandfield. Josh will represent BudCo Electric when Bud is unable to attend. Welcome Josh!

Board elections were held today for January – December 2024. We would like to thank Neil Arthur, Randy Geving, and Bob Goss for their service as board members this past year. Ty Taylor who served January – December 2023 was elected to serve another year. Those joining him on the board will be Tom Perkins, Gentry Copelin, and Jessica Duru. John Autry will serve as Past President/Chairman of the Board; Karole Campbell will be our President. Bob Goss was elected to serve as Vice President. Heather Smith, Chris Waldron, and Rick Ward will remain on the board until their term ends June of 2024. Welcome new board members and a sincere thank you for serving to our past board members.

Just a friendly reminder that our “Think Leads” and “Thank You’s” sheets should be filled out with complete information. Since have numerous members that share the same first it becomes confusing as to who you mean and without a business name or last name to help, I can’t note it.

After you do your craft talk, the following week you’ll introduce the next speaker, and the week after that you’ll greet the members of the group. It is wonderful to have a phone conversation to get the details for the introduction but even better if you can meet face to face. Our group is about deepening these relationships that make us all better Prospectors.

Board members present: John Autry, Karole Campbell, Steve Dufaud, Karen Heun, Neil Arthur, Randy Geving, Bob Goss, Ty Taylor, Chris Waldron, Rick Ward

Absent: Rob Amerine, Heather Smith

Quorum: Yes

Discussion and Action:

Membership: Maxwell Weiss has resigned from the group.

Caroline Fleming would like to be the primary member for Prospectors. Ty to follow up with John Fleming and request that Caroline submit her application if that is the path they would like to take.

The current members will be encouraged to meet with new members as well as old, every other month. Not a requirement but will serve to help the new members feel welcome and get to know us!

Attendance: Everyone seems to be doing well with the exception of BBB. Karole Campbell will reach out to them. (Status unknown)

The board feels that it would be a good idea to call members when they are missing for 2 meetings in a row, to check in.

Financials:

Outstanding dues for Cesar Quinones. Steve spoke to Cesar who said he would be paying the outstanding dues which hasn’t happened to date.

Website:

Website work is ongoing. Karen Heun has been in contact with Matt Palis as new revisions are made. Karen to reach out to Rob to get a full list of what was expected when the contract was signed.

We are still missing member portraits for the website. Karen to send an email to those who need to add that and let them know that Chris Waldron has offered to take a free photo if they would like.

Board Elections are upcoming. Heather Smith has been nominated for V.P. however her term is not up until June 2024. If she is elected, we will move her to that role and put the person in 5th place on the board for 6 mos. to complete her term.

Our next meeting will be December 19, 2023.
