Discussion and Action:

New Member Interview: 

Interview was conducted by the board with Dave Hammond of Window Covering Gallery. Dave is sponsored by Jake Harris. They create custom window coverings as well as clean current window coverings. There may be a conflict with another member and a motion was made by Jessica Duru to contact that member, it was seconded by Bob Goss who will contact our current member to make sure. Once that information is ascertained, a vote can be conducted.

Attendance: 
Arrow Moving & Storage doesn’t have a representative attending since Dave Ottoes sold the business. They owe dues. Karen to reach out and see if they are interested in continuing their membership.

Laser Sound has been contacted. 

Board Nomination:
A member has nominated Caroline Fleming to serve on the board. Since she is not a member, she will not be eligible to run. 

Our next meeting will be June 18, 2024.

Terry Bradley brought, Matthew B. to the meeting to attend on his behalf if he is unable to attend the meetings.

The Feast of Saint Arnold is on June 8th this year. It’s a family fun beer festival, so kids are welcome. You will have the opportunity to taste beer from many different breweries and support Westside CARES! Last year they raised $45,000, what an accomplishment!

Bike to Work is Wednesday June 26th. Talk to Karole Campbel for ways you can get involved!

To our speakers, please look at the list to see who is speaking after you, you’ll introduce them the following week and greet our members at the door the week after that. We highly encourage you to have a 1:1 face to face with the person you are introducing, it gives you a better understanding of who they are as a person and you get to learn more about what they do, we get a better introduction that way as well.

Announcements:

Tom Stewart announced the “Ride of Silence Multi Club Ride,” to take place May 15th at 6:30 PM. It will start at City Hall, 107 N. Nevada Ave, Colorado Springs, CO. The ride is held to honor those who have lost their lives on the road and raise public awareness that cyclist have a legal right to share the road with motorists.

This Thursday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm there will be an open house at Incline Chiropractic. They will be introducing their new massage therapist who will be giving out free samples! Who doesn’t love a good massage! Go see Dr. Railey’s team this Thursday.

Discussion and Action:

New Member Interview: 

Interview was conducted by the board with Jeff Spilker of Powers Plumbing for the plumbing category.

After reviewing both interviews for the plumbing category, after discussion a motion was made by Karole Campbell to approve the membership of Joshua Winney of “Those Plumb Bros.” which was seconded by Ty Taylor. Vote 8/2 to approve the membership. Steve Dufaud to contact them with the news and let Jessica Duru know so that she can reach out to Jeff. 

Kristeen Danburg of Gaddie Electric was the board’s second interview. Kristeen is applying for the Electrician category. After discussion a motion was made by Tom Perkins to approve the membership which was seconded by Ty Taylor. All voting members present agreed. Karole Campbell to reach out and let her know. 

Our next meeting will be May 21, 2024.
