Bob Goss was present to call the meeting to order but had to leave due to a family emergency and was not present for the interview or to vote on Nick West’s membership.
Financials: We are looking great with no concerns at this time.
Membership: Nick West of Solar Guard was interviewed by the board today. After discussion a motion was made by Steve Lebel to approve his membership, this was seconded by Steve Dufaud and all voting members present approved. Karen Heun to notify him of his acceptance.
The El Paso Club is having work done, so on July 8th we will be meeting at OS Office/OS Schools at 4110 High Country Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80907. More details to follow.
We had 9 guests this morning! Our speaker, Shelly Shepard, brought Kerri Foster, Kara Stutzman, and Dallas Shepard. Caroline Fleming brought her husband, Sean Fitzsimmons. He works for Vanguard Skin Specialists. Dan Osinski brought Bryan Dufaud, his new employee that will be his substitute for when he is unable to attend. Paul Hasty brought Raj Azsikari of Shri Ganesh. Raj expressed interest in joining the group. Brian Bennett brought Roland Quest, the new CEO of Bennco Advisors to breakfast this morning. Dr. Tidswell brought Dr Blake Bender who will be taking his place in the group at the end of September when he retires. And last, but not least, Randy Geving brought Amy Kingery who will be taking his place when he retires from Higginbotham at the end of June. WELCOME!
Today was Neil Arthur’s last day in the group. He is moving out of state to be close to family. He is still available by phone to help anyone who needs him and will be back in Colorado Springs from time to time.
Board nomination will be taken this month with planned election at the end of the month. Jennifer Gates of Johnson Storage & Moving was interviewed by the board at the meeting today. Jennifer is the Director of Business Development. She is sponsored by Cindy Senger. After the interview Karole Campbell made a motion to accept her into the group, seconded by Greg Jones. All voting members agreed. Bob Goss to reach out to both Jennifer and Cindy with the decision.
Attendance:
There have been several members that violate the bylaws regarding attendance. It was discussed that the board look at the paragraph relating to attendance and offer thoughts on possibly rewriting the policy. Those thoughts would be submitted at the next board meeting.
