Discussion and Action:

A leave of absence was requested by Paul Hasty of Tint Technologies due to the need of shoulder surgery. He will be out October and November by doctor’s orders. He is expected to return in December.

All respondents approved the LOA.

Our next meeting will be October 21, 2025.

Announcements:

Today’s meeting was a review of the attendance requirements for being a member of the club. There have been some glaring violations that would seem to indicate a lack of the full understanding of what the Prospectors Association membership is for and how it benefits each member. The board is welcoming comments from each of our members. If you were unable to attend today, or simply have any questions, please reach out to one of our board members.

Guests: Jim Martin, America 2000, brought Alex Renfrow to breakfast this morning. Alex will attend the meeting when Jim is unable to attend.

We are sad to announce that today was Dr. Tidswell’s, My Eye Doctor, last day. Jeff, we will miss seeing you and wish you a happy retirement!

Financials:
Not discussed.

Membership:

Ongoing discussion about members who are in violation of the bylaws. Due to Bob Goss’ absence the 15 persons to be contacted by him, status is unknown.

The current membership violation has been a structure issue for the club. It was suggested that we could bring structure by having quarterly reviews of attendance, placing those in violation on a quarter of probation, and if their attendance does not improve take action.

Steve Lebel to announce this structure to the members next week and Steve Dufaud to outline the proper way to miss a meeting if unable to attend. He will also review how to request a leave of absence if needed.

The board members are to review the membership section in the bylaws.

Old business:

Bob Goss requested that the board review the membership section in the bylaws and bring any suggestions for revision to our next scheduled meeting.

Our next meeting will be October 21, 2025.

Discussion and Action:

Financials:
There are currently four members who are delinquent in their dues. After discussion there was one member (RB) who has resigned, and the board felt that due to the reasons for his resignation that his dues would be forgiven. A motion was made by Steve Lebel to approve the removal of any monies due the club which was seconded by John Autry. All voting members approved. The other three members will be contacted by Bob Goss to bring their dues current.

Membership:

Bob Goss to address members who are not attending or sending a substitute from their company. Tyler Shull to be dismissed from the group for lack of attendance and outstanding dues. He will be required to pay any monies due.

Nine other members are in violation of the bylaws for attendance at or exceeding 15 out of 30 meetings. They will be contacted and notified of their violation and put on probation for the next quarter. At that time a review of their attendance will be conducted and action taken as required. Karen Heun to send the copy of the warning letter to Bob Goss.

An interview was conducted by the board with Amy Kingery of Higgenbotham. Due to the overlap of services offered by Higgenbotham, the board wanted to ascertain if her membership would present concern. After the interview a motion was made by Heather Smith to approve which was seconded by Rick Ward. All voting members agreed. Bob Goss to reach out and let her know the boards decision. .

Old business:

Bob Goss requested that the board review the membership section in the bylaws and bring any suggestions for revision to our next scheduled meeting.

Our next meeting will be September 16, 2025.
