Discussion and Action:

Membership:

Attendance: Everyone seems to be doing well with the exception of BBB and America 2000. Karole Campbell to reach out to Carla Wink at the BBB to follow up and Randy Geving to follow with Jim Martin. The board feels that it would be a good idea to call members when they are missing for 2 meetings in a row, to check in.

Financials:

An informational meeting was held with the members to go over a proposed raise in quarterly dues. It is necessary to cover expenses of the group for the website as well as the cost of breakfast increasing. Karole Campbell made a motion to increase quarterly dues to $300.00 starting the 4th quarter of 2023. The motion was seconded by Randy Geving. All voting members of the board agreed.

Outstanding dues for Cesar Quinones. Steve spoke to Cesar who said he would be paying the outstanding dues.

Website:

Rob Amerine spoke with Matthew Palis about the website updates. Quote was received and it was proposed to pay half of the bid upfront and credit the remainder to Matthew’s dues. Karole Campbell made a motion to approve the proposal and pay half of the bid upfront and credit the remainder to Matthew’s dues. The motion was seconded by John Autry and all voting members agreed. Rob to get the official invoice for Steve Dufaud to issue the payment.

We received some very sad news that Tim Donegan’s wife passed away on September 2nd. A memorial service is to be held at the end of October. Karen to pick up a couple of cards for the membership to sign at the next meeting.

Our next meeting will be October 17, 2023.

Guests: Terry Tanner brought Matthew to breakfast this morning. Matthew Quintana will attend for Terry when needed.

After you do your craft talk, the following week you’ll introduce the next speaker, and the week after that you’ll greet the members of the group. It is wonderful to have a phone conversation to get the details for the introduction but even better if you can meet face to face. Our group is about deepening these relationships that make us all better Prospectors.

Discussion and Action:

Membership:

Greta Butler, owner of Glasswing Silversmith, was interviewed by Neil Arthur and Karole Campbell. Both felt that her business did not meet the requirements for joining at this time. An official vote was not taken but recorded by email with the desire to revisit her application in one year to see where she is with her business. All members agreed with one abstain due to not being present at last month’s meeting.

Terry Bradley of Mile High Cyber was interviewed by Rick Ward and John Autry. After discussion was voted in for membership with a motion made by Karole Campbell which was seconded by Neil Arthur. All voting members concurred.

Website:

Quote to create a website that has more of the old features was received from Matt Palis. Steve Dufaud confirmed availability of funds for the project with some other financial adjustments being required. Rob Amerine to speak to Matt Palis to obtain a written scope of work with his projected completion date. Matt has offered to make the changes requested in lieu of paying dues for 18 months. Rob to ascertain if that is a good plan and report back to the board after he speaks to Matt.

It was presented that we hold a members-only meeting to inform them of pending changes and other business. It was decided that we will do this the first meeting in September 2023.

Our next meeting will be September 19, 2023.
